The full specifications of the Motorola Edge 70 Neo have surfaced in a new leak, pointing to a mid-range phone with a very large battery and a fast display. Motorola has not announced the phone yet, and there is still no launch date or price.

The leak was reported on 26 October by GSMArena and 91mobiles, and both reports agree on the main details. The phone is expected to launch soon, but Motorola has not confirmed a date.
The Edge 70 Neo first appeared in August, when Motorola accidentally teased it. Leaked renders of the design followed later that month, and the new leak now fills in the specifications.
A big screen and a bigger battery
The phone is said to have a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. The screen is also tipped to carry Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protection.
A 144Hz display refreshes the picture more than twice as fast as a standard 60Hz screen. Scrolling and animations look smoother, and games that support high refresh rates feel more fluid.
Under the screen, the phone is expected to run on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chip. The chip has already appeared in phones such as the Nothing Phone (3a) and the Redmi Note 14 Pro+, and its presence on Geekbench had already pointed to it before this leak.
The chip is paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 3.1 storage, according to the leak. Buyers are expected to get a choice of 6GB or 8GB of RAM, with 128GB or 256GB of storage.
The battery is the most striking part of the leak. The Edge 70 Neo is tipped to pack a 7,000mAh battery with 45W fast charging. That is a large capacity for a mid-range phone, and it should last comfortably through a full day of heavy use.
The phone is said to measure 8.49mm thick and weigh 204 grams. The larger battery is one reason for the extra weight, and the phone is expected to carry an IP64 rating for dust and water resistance.
Cameras and software
For photography, the phone is said to have a 50MP Sony LYTIA 710 primary camera with an f/1.8 aperture. It is joined by a 2MP macro camera and a three-in-one light sensor on the back.
A 32MP front camera is tipped to handle selfies and video calls.
The camera setup shows where Motorola may have saved money. There is no dedicated telephoto camera for zoomed shots, and the second rear camera is only a 2MP macro unit. Buyers who often shoot distant subjects may notice the gap.
The phone is expected to run Android 16 out of the box. According to the leak, Motorola will offer four major Android OS updates and five years of security updates, which is a long support window for a mid-range phone.
Colours and what is still unknown
The phone will come in four Pantone colours, according to the leak. The names are Mountain View, Milky Blue, Sage and Gray Lilac. These are the same colour options that appeared in the renders leaked in August.
What is still missing is the launch date and the price. The leak does not mention either, and Motorola has not announced them.
An earlier report in September said Motorola planned to launch the phone in India in the coming months. That timing has not been confirmed by the company, so buyers should treat it as a guide rather than a promise.
It is also worth noting that earlier reports had listed different specifications for the phone, including a different chip and a smaller battery. The latest leak, reported by two outlets on the same day, is the most detailed version so far, but the final spec sheet may still change before launch.
Where it fits
The Edge 70 Neo follows the Motorola Edge 60 Neo, which had a smaller 5,000mAh battery. The new model grows the battery by a large margin, but the leak also points to cuts elsewhere.
The previous model had a 13MP ultrawide camera and a 10MP telephoto camera, and it was waterproof. The leaked Edge 70 Neo has no ultrawide or telephoto camera in its reported spec sheet, and its IP64 rating is a step below full waterproofing.
That trade is common in mid-range phones. A bigger battery is easy for buyers to notice, while a missing zoom camera is only felt later. Motorola will need to price the phone well to make the trade work, because rivals in the same price range offer faster charging and newer chips.
For now, the leak gives buyers a clear picture of what to expect. A large screen, a very large battery and long software support are the strengths. The cameras and the charging speed are the parts to watch when the phone is finally announced.
